“ Very busy on a cold but sunny day at the end of March. Excellent views from the balcony across the reservoir towards Normanton Park Hotel and the dam. ”
“ Went here today to help socialise my dog! There were lots of dogs in there, so she was quite nervous. But there was space for her to keep out the way and have a positive experience. The soup was absolutely delicious and so nicely presented! All the staff were really lovely and especially friendly with my dog. Will be looking forward to my next visit!!! ”
“ Went to the cafe this morning. Very friendly service. They did allow our two Labradors to rest inside. Ordered coffee and bacon sandwich. The sandwich was made of freshly baked bread (crusty on the outside and fluffy on the inside). It was delicious. ”
“ The coffee and hot chocolate was delicious. We had a huge Bakewell tart each too and they were lovely. Not sure if it's just cause it was down time but it was so calm and peaceful, there was only us and two other couples. The staff were lovely and helpful and the place was really clean. ”

This appeared to be a well run operation with nice helpful staff who were quick and efficient. Tables were cleaned properly as soon as guests left and service was quick. Although we only had drinks and teacakes, food that came out to other guests appeared hot and delicious, we will try next time. Toilets were clean and everywhere was tidy. ”

“ Great place to meet, eat, walk, and talk. Inside the cafe, the food choices are limited (but tasty). They didn't have any breakfast menus when we visited which was a shame. In the summer, they open the bottom section and serve ice creams and such like - a bit pricey but when in Rutland..! ”
